Having ...I am also scratching my head by this move. Having played WAR in beta and launch, the problems that need fixing are not going to be solved by this move.

WAR suffers from imbalance (why is that Warrior Priests are still OP to this day?)
WAR suffers from a lack of population control. cross server queue the scenarios for everything from Tier 3 and below. This lets players experience RvR before they get to the 'end game'.
Make WAR F2P! and expand the cash shop. If Turbine can make LOTRO and DDO go from being practically cancelled ventures to being profitable (very, DDO is the #2 populated MMO iirc) then WAR should do the same.

Take a look at the 'Endless Trial' population if u doubt this.

Am I excited about being able to queue for scenarios and play the game? sure. However, if WoH isn't approached like multiplayer on a ps3 game (Red Dead Redemption, Medal of Honor) it will be a colossal waste of time. Let me advance and get a 'meta level' that then unlocks more champions, items, etc. that will be great. (funnel the population! yay!)

but if this is a regional multiple server setup, its going to fail. if WAR cannot get regular scenarios fill in Tier 2 and above. what makes them think that filling 3 teams in WoH will be any different?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279669963757550971.post-33074696364532411542011-08-30T13:50:08.040+01:002011-08-30T13:50:08.040+01:00Im really disappointed,i was hoping that the PvE a...Im really disappointed,i was hoping that the PvE aspect of WAR was going to get an overhaul so that we had a nice sense of place again. A blend of Warhammer and TF2.

It seems that Bioware are determined to hold onto the Warhammer IP rights and to make use of all of the assets they already have.

VonPPAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279669963757550971.post-57259426000978593392011-08-16T17:13:59.148+01:002011-08-16T17:13:59.148+01:00I'm really in two minds about the whole thing....I'm really in two minds about the whole thing. When I first heard about it I was very disappointed, much the same as the general reaction seems to be on the forums. But with some pondering and consideration for the big picture, I began to see how it could work out very well for WAR, if it proves successful. Yet at the same time, if it doesn't work out very well and Mythic don't quickly show positive outcomes for WAR from this, then WAR will be in very deep shit indeed.

So I just don't know right now, it really could go either way.Bootaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12857676039536372689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279669963757550971.post-10006556432435676262011-08-16T17:07:29.889+01:002011-08-16T17:07:29.889+01:00[shakrah]

I don't see a flood of new people. WAR in general has a horrible reputation in the MMORPG world, and no LoL/DotA style mini-game is going to change that. it might bring in a few, but I highly doubt we're going to see any more development time then that we don't get now, which is almost nil.

The no levels, three sided, skill based combat is what people have wanted in WAR since beta. Instead of fixing the core game, a mini-game gets those perks. You can see the general reaction of most of the WAR boards is all more or less the same; extreme disappointment.KelarionPrimehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02765883630811518478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279669963757550971.post-46468642504582272702011-08-16T16:22:31.283+01:002011-08-16T16:22:31.283+01:00So this means we will be able to play WAR without ...So this means we will be able to play WAR without beeing carried by gear and rr, but instead skill? \o/Argolonoreply@blogger.com
