I haven't tried RDR or anything and maybe that's why I was so shocked when I stepped out of Gloamwood and into Scarlet Gorge. My first reaction was "OMG, I found the Wild West". My second reaction was "why the hell did I just stumble into the Wild West?"<br /><br />The game had been pretty good in submerging me in its atmosphere, what with its Fable inspired background music through the woods. But suddenly I felt thrust into a Hollywood basement. I'm sure there's a perfectly logical reason that ties in stellarly with the rest of the lore that explains why, just over that hill, the thick woods die and the sun blisters the raw earth and the foul things that scurry on it.
